Harshvardhan Rane Was trained for his movie “Sanam Teri Kasam” by his super Strong ??, super favourite?? (and super expensive) ‪#Vinod Channa. Harshvardhan Rane’s Next film’s training is also going with him.

He was lean and athletic in the many South ventures that Harshvardhan Rane acted in, but his Bollywood debut film got him to do some weights and turn muscular! “I was never a fitness freak unless Sanam Teri Kasam happened. It was for the movie that I hit the gym and turned muscular,” says Rane, whose first ever fitness trainer in life became Vinod Channa.

Interestingly, it’s the same fitness guru who trains John Abraham and has been working with the actor for five years. “When I came to Bollywood, I became friends with John sir. He is like my go to buddy as I don’t have many friends here and took his advice when it came to bodybuilding. It was the actor who put me on to Vinod,” says Rane, who’s been working out with Vinod for over one and a half years.

Now that Rane has made exercising a part of his life, the actor sweats it out in the gym for 50 minutes with some intensive regime for five days a week. He elaborates, “I don’t follow a particular routine as Vinod sir has some new set of exercises for me every single day. He makes it a point to keep my body flexible and not stiff and thus we do some workouts that include breaking the back, chakrasana and pulling your own body weight.”

Rane reveals that apart from working out, he strictly follows a diet plan that helps him in keeping fit. “I follow the caveman’s diet or the paleo diet,” says Rane, who further explains, “The diet says that before civilization people only ate proteins. As per study, our genes aren’t aware of breaking carbohydrates. On eating carbs people feel bloated and turn obese as the body is unable to digest carbs, so why eat them?” Thus, the actor skips rice, roti, bread, oats and biscuits from his diet. He only eats chicken, eggs and lots of green vegetables.

A sprinter in school and now a complete gym enthusiast, the actor wishes that one day he gets to work out in the gym with John. Prod him to name an actress who he would like to sweat it out with and pat comes the reply, “I would like to work out with Jacqueline Fernandez. I have seen her workout videos and she is always smiling in them. She just enjoys her exercise sessions and so I guess it will be fun to team up with her.

In terms of work, he looks forward to continue working down South but also is looking to take up Bollywood seriously. “I am on the verge of signing a regional film. That apart I am in talks with Bejoy Nambiar and one more production house for Hindi film,” he signs off.
