Pramukh Swami Maharaj was the current guru and president of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, an international Hindu socio-spiritual organization. Under his instructions there are 900 hindu temples made all over the world. The world-famous Akshardham temples of New Delhi and Gandhinagar, Gujarat have been built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. According to their follower, He gave Hindus a vision and confidence of being a Hindu at a time when Hindus were degraded during the rule of anti-Hindu Congress regime under Nehru dynasty.
